1.Must possess stronginterpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patientsand promote interdisciplinary collaborative teamwork including in emergentsituations. Maintains effective working relations and communication withdepartment and other hospital personnel.
2.Must possess stronganalytical and organizational abilities necessary to perform multiplediagnostic tasks.Must demonstrate proficiency in Windows based Witt BiomedicalSystems.
3.Work requires four totwelve weeks of training based on prior experience to acquire necessaryfamiliarity with procedures and equipment.
4.Must be able toprioritize multiple responsibilities encompassed within the position.Must have the ability to adapt to changing pace within the department.
5.Must be able topromote a customer/patientoriented philosophy among all staff within the area.
6.Must use independent judgmentcreativity and initiative in a variety of situations when assisting withpatient procedures
7.Must be able to workunder extremely stressful conditions.
8.Must be able tounderstand and operate required equipment and information systems.
9.Must be physicallycapable of lifting (linen supplies patients etc).
10.Must be aware ofhazards within the department; adhere to safety standards established by theHospital and other regulatory agencies.
11.Must have ability towork with adult elderly patients and critically ill patients. Must haveability to work productively in emergency situations such as cardiac andrespiratory codes and oncall situations.
12.Must have acomprehensive understanding of hemodynamics including waveform recognitionabnormal hemodynamics and hemodynamic calculations.
13.Maintains a highstandard of professionalism at all times
1.Candidate must havegraduated with an Associates degree from an accredited school ofCardiovascular Technology or a related field.Oralternatively the candidate must have graduated with an Associates Degreefrom an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and must be certified by theARRT.
2.Must possess a validlicense to practice as a radiologic technologist in the state of Massachusetts.
3.Completion of BLS andACLS certification within 3 months of employment preferred; within 6 monthsrequired.
4.RegisteredCardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred.

The EP Lab is internationally recognized for its innovative advances in clinical electrophysiology cardiac arrhythmias and pacemakers. Established in 1978 the highly skilled EP Lab team works collaboratively to diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats. There are various types and causes of cardiac arrhythmia that impact about 4 million Americans today.
