Minimum degree and field of knowledge: PhD and/or MDYears experience required: At least 3 years of doctoral research experience. 0 2 years experience after Ph.D. graduation
Summary:The Porichis Laboratory (http://ragoninstitute/portfolioitem/porichis/ at the Ragon Institute of MGH MIT and Harvard at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston has an opening for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to study the immunopathogenesis of HIV. The person hired will work under the supervision of Dr. Porichis conducting patientoriented translational research involving cuttingedge technologies including transcriptional and immunologic profiling of CD4 T cell responses in HIV infection.
Job Duties:The applicant will independently carry out activities performing laboratory research.
Duties include: Guiding research projects through experimental design conducting experiments and analyzing data Maintaining detailed documentation of experimental work Presenting data within and outside of the laboratory group at meetings and symposia Maintaining close communications with PI regarding progress Writing editing and submitting manuscripts/abstracts detailing the results of the project
Qualifications: A Ph.D and/or M.D. with a solid background in cellular immunology transcriptional profiling and/or functional characterization of CD4 T cells is preferred. Strong background on CD4 T cell help/interactions to B cells is highly preferred. Candidates should be highly motivated and independent with the ability to work in a dynamic team environment. They should have exceptional organizational skills and strong oral and written communications skills.
