Job Description
- Bachelors degree required Masters degree preferred
- 12 years of healthcare or related experience preferexperience in Behavioral Health setting
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of Joint Commission Department of MentalHealth and other regulatory and/or government agencies standards andregulations regarding the use of medical interpreters in the healthcare setting*
- Competence with computer applications such asMicrosoft Office
- Knowledge of industry standards regarding medicalinterpretation*
- Demonstrates proficiency and fluency in an additionallanguage preferably Spanish.
- All employees must possess basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems for communication clinical and administrative purposes
*Within first 90 days of employment must demonstrate sound workingknowledge and understanding with the expectation that proficiency in theseareas will be attained within first 6 months of employment.
The Manager of InterpreterServices will have primary responsibility for and oversight of medicalinterpreter services provided via contracted vendors to McLean Hospitalpatients ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. This position requires coordination ofpatient needs with outside vendor services; education of hospital staffpatients and referrers regarding the availability and use of such services; oversightof development and delivery of related training materials; and management ofservice costs. Other duties as assigned.
