Job Summary
Operates oxyacetylene and electric arc welding machines in cutting and welding structural steel beams columns plates flooring brackets etc.; Cuts welds brazes and solders metal parts in the repair and replacement of parts for mechanical equipment or in the repair replacement or installation of structural steel; Follows blueprints in doing structural or major mechanical repair work; Overhauls repairs or replaces metal parts where welding or associated metal work is the major skill required; Aligns sets in place and welds bases for motors pumps and other mechanical equipment; Fashion sheet metal troughs chutes ventilating ducts and other devices as well as the structures necessary to support them; Fabricates wall brackets shelves supports ladder platforms stairways railings etc.;
- Cleaning work areas tools and equipment.
- Using hand tools to prepare materials for welding.
- Forklift and Boom Lift Experience
- Good with Heights
GED or higher education and have 35 years ofexperience.
