The Valley Internship Experience Workgroup (VIEW) initiative is part of a statewide effort to expand paid and creditbearing student internships and other workbased learning opportunities in collaboration with Virginia employers. The Virginia Talent Opportunity Partnership (VTOP) facilitates the readiness of students employers and institutions of higher education to participate in internship and workbased learning. The VIEW is working to significantly increase the number of internship and workbased learning programs currently available in the Shenandoah Valley (GO Virginia Region 8.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with marketing and outreach to include creating promotional fliers and social media posts writing success stories for newsletters attending networking events
Assist with event planning such as Virginia Intern Day and regional conferences/events
Assist with inperson and/or virtual meeting planning/prep
Assist with developing presentations and educational workshop content

Successful progress in a college degree program
Interest or experience in marketing graphic design event planning communications student career services internships economic community or talent development preferred
Additional Posting Information:
Work hours & benefits
2040 hours/week during summer semester
815 hours/week during fall and/or spring semester

Conditions of Employment:
Students must be degreeseeking students enrolled on at least a halftime basis 6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
Students must have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA.
