Job Description Summary
The Department of Physics at Oakland University is seeking a condensed matter theorist for a tenure track Assistant Professor position starting on August 15 2019. A Ph.D. in physics and capability for excellent teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level are required. Our preference is for a candidate working in modern nano magnetism and spintronics so that the candidate can participate in the departments Institute of Spintronics and Microwave Technology. However applicants in any area of theoretical condensed matter physics will be considered. Preference will also be given to candidates based on the extent of their record of teaching and the extent of their record of external funding. To receive full consideration applications should be received by January 7 2019. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
