Job Description
Lead Innovation & Excellence in Clinical Laboratory Operations
Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking a Vice President of Laboratory Operations on behalf of a premier multispecialty healthcare organization dedicated to excellence in patient care. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and implement a forwardthinking strategy for laboratory operations aligning with business objectives.
Operational Excellence: Manage all lab functions ensuring highquality service delivery and compliance with CLIA CAP OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
Financial & Business Acumen: Oversee budget management cost optimization and revenue growth strategies for laboratory services.
Regulatory & Quality Assurance: Maintain toptier accreditation standards fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Technology & Process Improvement: Leverage emerging technologies and datadriven methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
CrossDepartment Collaboration: Partner with clinical IT procurement and administrative teams to integrate laboratory services seamlessly within the healthcare system.
What Were Looking For
Education & Experience
Masters degree (or higher) in Molecular Biology Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in a clinical hospital or reference lab setting.
Strong background in molecular diagnostics and laboratory operations is essential.
Certifications & Skills
Certification as a Molecular Biologist (MB) Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) or equivalent preferred.
Deep understanding of CLIA CAP COLA and GLP/GMP regulatory standards.
Proven expertise in financial management including budgeting workforce planning and cost control.
Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and laboratory technology integration.
Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
Exceptional leadership communication and collaboration skills to engage with executive leadership clinicians and laboratory staff.
