Job Description Summary
Join our dynamic academic team as an Instructional Designer! The LLCC Academic Innovation & eLearning team is seeking a passionate professional to provide guidance and support to college faculty in designing and developing engaging and effective instructional content across all delivery formats. Responsibilities include consulting with faculty conducting needs assessments designing learning materials and leading faculty development workshops. This position will remain open until filled. As a staff member at LLCC you can look forward to 23 paid holidays a year including 2 weeks at the end of the calendar year and one week in March for midsemester break; 12 Fridays off in the summer; and 2 personal days 15 sick days and starting with 15 vacation days per year. Starting salary is likely to be between $63579 and $84014 per year with an excellent benefits package. The person hired into this position will be placed within this range based on education training experience and skills. Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Instructional Design Instructional Technology or related field. 3 5 years experience working in the instructional design/technology field/higher education. Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models accross all teaching and learning domains. Experience collaborating with and supporting subject matter experts on the design development and delivery of instructional content. Experience designing and developing course content using an online learning management system. Knowledge of current and emerging digital learning trends and tools. Experience integrating digital learning components into course content in all formats of instruction. Proven knowledge of common authoring applications for the development of digital education content. Knowledge of current regulations regarding webbased accessibility standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree. Collegelevel teaching or training experience including online teaching/training experience. Experience working with and instructing/training collegelevel faculty in both technology and pedagogical matters. Experience working with and supporting others in the use of the Canvas learning management system. An understanding of copyright laws and policies and how they relate to college instruction. Knowledge of online course design standards (Quality Matters). Knowledge of and ability to instruct course design based on universal design for learning UDL standards. Project management experience. Strong communication skills including presentation skills. Ability to effectively work with others.
