Job Summary

The Director of Quality Engineering will lead the quality engineering competency within our organization. This role is pivotal in standardizing our approach to testing automation test data management and governance. This person will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met across all software development projects driving innovation and continuous improvement in our engineering practices. This role will also involve strategic planning and collaboration with crossfunctional teams to integrate quality engineering practices into all stages of the software development lifecycle. The Director will be responsible for defining and tracking key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of testing efforts and providing regular updates to stakeholders. Additionally the Director will lead and manage the quality engineering team fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

You will

  • Lead the design development and implementation of a comprehensive quality engineering competency for the organization.
  • Standardize testing methodologies automation frameworks test data management and governance processes across the organization.
  • Overseeing all aspects of quality assurance ensuring that testing activities adhere to established standards procedures and methodologies.
  • Identify assess and prioritize risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure quality engineering practices are integrated into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Define and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of testing efforts and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Leading and managing the team including hiring training mentoring and performance evaluation of team members.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality engineering and incorporate them into the organizations processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of our engineering practices.
  • Establish processes for defect tracking reporting and resolution.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice awareness across the organization to promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

You have

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality engineering with a focus on testing automation test data management and governance.
  • Proven experience in leading the implementation of quality engineering competencies.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience with modern testing tools and frameworks.

Education

Bachelors degree Computer Science Engineering or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience in Information Technology or Businessrelated field
