The Role

As the Advisor Talent Development youll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. You will play a key role in designing implementing and overseeing programs that drive employee performance support professional growth and develop leadership capabilities. The Advisor focuses on employee and leadership development training initiatives and programs and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement and will bring their passion to helping employees reach their full potential and foster a highperforming workforce.

Leadership Development 25

  • Design and implement leadership development programs to build the capabilities of current and future leaders.
  • Facilitate leadership training sessions focused on key competencies such as emotional intelligence strategic thinking and people management.
  • Develop coaching and mentoring programs to support leadership growth and development.
  • Work with senior leaders to assess leadership needs and adapt development strategies accordingly.

Talent Development 20

  • Contribute to the development and of the companys talent strategy ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends bringing innovative talent and learning practices to the organization.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors coaches and training partners to expand development opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on talent and performance initiatives for senior leadership.

  • Assess skill gaps and create development plans for employees at various levels.
  • Develop and oversee individualized development programs that support career progression and personal growth.
  • Identify and implement tools resources and learning opportunities that promote professional development and engagement.
  • Partner with HR and leadership teams to design career pathing strategies that align with company growth and employee aspirations.

Employee and Leadership Training 20

  • Design develop and deliver training programs that enhance skills and improve performance across the organization.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing programs for effectiveness and make recommendations for continuing.
  • Conduct needs assessments to determine training priorities and create tailored programs for different roles and functions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through assessments feedback and performance metrics.
  • Leverage a variety of instructional methods including workshops online modules and selfdirected learning resources.
  • Research and recommend platforms that support Agency Training goals.

Instructional Design 10

  • Create engaging effective and learnercentered instructional materials courses and resources tailored to the organizations needs and employee development goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess training needs identify skill gaps and define performance objectives to ensure training programs align with business goals.
  • Develop clear measurable learning objectives and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and ensure the achievement of desired learning outcomes.
  • Choose appropriate delivery methods (e.g. elearning instructorled blended learning) and learning technologies to engage diverse audiences and enhance the learning experience
  • Review and update training content regularly to maintain accuracy relevance and alignment with the organizations evolving needs and best practices.
  • Measure the success of training programs through assessments surveys and feedback and make datadriven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Advocate for continuous learning within the organization promoting professional growth and development opportunities for employees.

Performance Management 5

  • Provide support and backup on launch and implementation of performance management process programs and initiatives in partnership with talent development peers.
  • Support the training of managers and employees on best practices for goal alignment feedback and performance evaluation.
  • Analyze performance data and provide insights to leadership to drive organizational improvements and talent decisions in partnership with peers.

Required qualifications for the role

  • Minimum of a bachelors degree or equivalent experience plus at least 5 years of relevant experience with focus in talent development performance management or related HR functions.
  • Proven experience designing and facilitating training programs for diverse audiences including leaders and individual contributors.
  • Strong understanding of performance management processes tools and best practices.
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles; experience with elearning tools is a plus.
  • Experience with training and development platforms (LinkedIn Learning Cornerstone).
  • Ability to interpret and use data to inform talent decisions and improve program effectiveness.
  • Ability to take initiative and generate innovative ideas in talent development that contribute to overall strategic goals.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to handle fluctuating priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in support of building a teambased culture of work.
  • Ability to develop relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness.
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels both internally and externally both written and verbal.

Preferred qualificationsfor the role

  • Exposure to a nonprofit setting
  • Professional certification (CCP CBP HRCI or SHRM)

Compensation

Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position dependent on candidate location:

  • Geo 1 NY Metro DC and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $84150 $94050 base salary
  • Geo 2 Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $76500 $85500 base salary
  • Geo 3 Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $68850 $76950 base salary

The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record. Actual base salary may vary based on but not limited to relevant experience base salary of internal peers business sector and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here.
