Aramark UK are currently looking for a talented enthusiastic and experienced Senior Sous Chef to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of in house food at this independent school based in Uppingham Rutland LE15 9QE
Uppingham Uppingham School is an Independent School that has numerous locations throughout the town. There are 15 boarding houses in total & 2 Hub kitchens across the site some houses have in house Chefs. The required role would be based within the hub kitchen.

- This is a fulltime position 45 hours per week 34 days over 7 including some weekend work. You will be working 7 days within a 14 day period. We are offering a great work life balance when it comes to shift times a rarity when you work within culinary!

A day in the life of a Senior Sous Chef:
- In the absence of the Head Chef the Senior Sous Chef will plan organise and direct the preparation and cooking of all food within a HUB serving three houses within the estate. Ensuring that the schools reputation for quality consistency & choice is enhanced for Students & House Staff at all times
- We provide Breakfast Lunch & Dinner service across all locations along with any other ad hoc requirements for the houses.
- Adopt a handson approach taking full responsibility & accountability for the food production within the HUB kitchen
- Possess an exceptional drive for preparing & delivering high levels of Consistency Quality & Choice across all food services
- Responsibility & accountability for Food Safety Health & Safety HACCP and COSHH within the HUB kitchens
You will be set up for success if you have:
- Must be able to pass full security vetting and Enhanced DBS checks
- Proven experience in a role as a Senior Sous /Sous Chef being able to demonstrate a track record of catering for large numbers
- Have a big personality. Great people skills and be able to lead develop train and inspire your team.
- Have a real passion for food and customer service along with bags of enthusiasm.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable
