Job Description

Our Swim Instructors directand leads participant(s) through explanation demonstration and guided practice. This position is at our Lincoln Park location.
Responsibilities:
- Take attendance when needed.
- Schedule lessons threefive days in advance.
- Follow Emergency Action Plan when needed.
- Fill out required records and reports on schedule.
- Attend staff meetings alongside training workshops.
- Communicate regularly with participants and their parents.
- Report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the Aquatics Director.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Director.
- Adapt teaching approaches to all ages skills and abilities of participants.
- Use skill demonstrations and positive reinforcement while teaching new skills.
- Enforce all aquatics facility policies rules and regulations; educate patrons about them.
- Monitor teaching practice and equipment areas to ensure the health and safety of participants.
- Utilize Instructor Training Guide as well as Training Workshops to begin and enhance the swimming curriculum to our members.
Position Requirements:
- Previous instruction experience preferred.
- Must be punctual reliable energetic and focused.
- American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
Scheduling Needs:
- Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00pm 7:00pm
