About BaptistCare The Gracewood Centre Kellyville
The Gracewood Centre features convenient onsite amenities including a caf landscaped gardens and covered terraces chapel hair salon therapy spa library electric BBQs and a private function room for family gatherings. The facility offers 96 general care rooms and 32 secure dementia care rooms comfortably furnished with ample storage quality fittings built in ceiling hoists free WiFi and SMART TVs.
As a purpose built aged care facility the latest technology has been included to ensure residents are well looked after. Our team of professional staff chaplains and volunteers are dedicated to delivering the best possible care to residents with 24 hour access to registered nurses.
About the role
As a Carer youll get to know your residents by supporting their choices preferences and needs during your shifts.
Duties may include:
- Assistance with a wide range of PersonCentered care in accordance with care plans
- Assistance with medication
- Simple wound dressing
- Assistance with activities under supervision
- Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love
Skills & experience
- Previous experience as a Care Service Employee (desirable)
- Transferrable skills in providing care and compassion to others
- Certificate III in Individual Support is desirable or a willingness to obtain
- Experience working with residents living with Dementia will be highly regarded
