Beams Accounting Team empowers the company by developing and implementing scalable accounting processes that facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting. As an Accounting Manager you will play a key role in leading and improving accounting operations ensuring financial accuracy and driving automation and efficiency in our processes. We are looking for someone who is not only technically proficient but also creative and energetic in problemsolving willing to challenge the status quo and eager to explore new ways to improve efficiency through technology and automation.

What you will do:

    • Lead and oversee accounting operations ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls
    • Manage monthend and yearend close processes including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations
    • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements implementing solutions to enhance efficiency
    • Work crossfunctionally with teams across the company to ensure financial processes align with business objectives
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting team members fostering a culture of learning and growth
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with auditors and other thirdpart vendors
    • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to support the companys growth and scalability
    • Assist in financial statement preparation and ensure accurate reporting to stakeholders
    • Partner with HR to support payroll processing and reconciliations with knowledge of payroll tax implications being a valuable asset
    • Demonstrate expertise in accounts payable and treasury functions to support cash flow management and vendor relationships

What skills will help you be successful:

    • A bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; exposure to insurance accounting and reporting is a plus
    • At least 5 years of experience in accounting operations or public accounting with prior experience in a managerial role preferred
    • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principlesFamiliarity with financial reporting systems (e.g. Salesforce Tableau or SQL) is a plus
    • Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and translate findings into actionable insightsExperience with process automation and ERP systems; proficiency in NetSuite is a plus
    • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to tell a clear and compelling financial story
    • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • A proactive mindset with the ability to challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvementIntegrity empathy and a commitment to collaboration
$100200 $160200 a year
Compensation and Benefits:
Beam offers a competitive base salary paired with an attractive variable compensation structure.
Employees benefit from performancebased bonuses and incentives along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health dental and vision insurance. Additionally Beam provides a 401(k) plan with company matching flexible time off and the opportunity to participate in the equity program.

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidates jobrelated knowledge skills and experience among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits bonus or other incentives that may be applicable based on position.
