Job Description
- Installing complex AV systems. Technicians must complete technical installation of AV systems including equipment rack fabrication site preparation termination and calibration of audio and video equipment and implementation of Crestron Digital Media and control systems. Also troubleshoot complex audio video switching and control systems problems as required.
- Install configure integrate and test videoconferencing and integrated audio/visual technologies (videoconferencing multimedia displays video projection systems audio reinforcement systems cameras microphones document cameras streaming technologies etc. and A/V based collaboration technologies.
- Integrate and configure A/V systems with Crestron control systems. Install and configure Crestron Digital Media products.
- Develop and conduct onsite user and administrative training for the installed integrated A/V systems.
- Assist in design integration testing and troubleshooting of various network and telecommunications systems including IP and ISDN networks.
- Assist in customer site surveys including collecting and recording existing detailed operational functional and technical requirements developing project scopes. This would be the design engineer responsibility not a technician.
- Understanding plans and specifications to identify the materials and equipment needed to ensure compliance with project requirements. This would be the design engineer responsibility
- Knowledge of design techniques tools and principals involved in the production of electrical plans blueprint and drawings.
- Load and test touch panels and control programs
- Troubleshoot hardware cabling.
- Provide system testing and troubleshooting expertise on highend A/V solutions as related to the remotecontrol subsystems of the integrated solution
- Demonstrated proficiency in installing configuring and troubleshooting AV systems including video conferencing and integrated audio/visual technologies.
- Experience in Extron and Crestron control products Biamp audio devices Tandberg codecs and projection systems as well as handling videoconference and conference room upgrades
- Technical understanding of audio reinforcement systems cameras microphones video projection systems and streaming technologies.
- Experienced with hardware cabling signal flow and networked AV systems.
- Knowledge of ISDN and IPbased communication technologies for AV integration.
