Job Description
Schedules will be arranged according to the Librarys needs and individual availability with no guaranteed number of assigned hours. Preference will be given to applicants with flexible schedules. Schedules may include days and/or evenings.

Desirable Qualifications
Recent work experience or internship in a college or public library in reference and library instruction. Demonstrated success in helping students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups nontraditional students speakers of other languages and students with learning disabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters in library science library and information science OR the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education training employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee. Commitment to diversity. All applicants must have demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students faculty and staff. The applicant must be able to demonstrate how these factors relate to the need for equity minded practices within the classroom. Recent graduates or graduate students nearing graduation are welcome to apply. Must have MLIS before hiring date.
Work Schedule
Varies. Employees must reside in California while employed with NOCCCD even during remote work.
