Job Description
Lodestar Consulting is currently seeking a fulltime DevOps Automation SME to join our team in support of our Federal client.

As a DevOps Automation SME you will support streamlining and enhancing the software development life cycle within the organization. To excel in this role you should be wellversed in a variety of DevOps methodologies and tools. The responsiblities of this role include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Automating processes to ensure the infrastructure and deployment strategies are efficient scalable and reliable
- Advise DevOps engineers guiding them through complex automation challenges and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Collaborate with both development and operations teams to create a seamless workflow that accelerates delivery while maintaining highquality standards
- Develop and implement automation strategies and processes
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate automation into the development and deployment process
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team
- Ensure the stability security and scalability of automation systems and processes
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years supporting DevOps Automation teams
- Handson experience in designing and implementing fullscale automation strategies within a DevOps environment
- A track record of problemsolving within highpressure scenarios will demonstrate your capability to handle the dynamic challenges this role presents
- Ability to bring proactive approaches to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management is essential
- Experience with cloud services containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and automation tools like Ansible Terraform or Puppet
- Ability to script in languages such as Python Bash or Ruby will be crucial in creating custom automation solutions
- Strong understanding of version control systems like Git will be necessary to maintain code quality and collaboration
- Wellversed in a variety of DevOps methodologies and tools
Preferred:
- Experience working with Federal or DoD organizations is strongly preferred
Education:
Bachelors Degree from an Accredited Unversity or Institution
Certifications:
Comptia Security is required
Security Clearance:
Must hold an active DoD IT1/TS security clearance(requires US Citizenship)
