Job Description
We are currently assisting a wellestablished consulting firm in Cape Town with the recruitment of a Senior Geometric Design Engineer who can join their team as soon as possible.
Youll be a member of our brilliant engineering team contributing to the design of new cuttingedge products. To be successful in this position you should have handson experience using CAD software with strong attention to detail and a creative flair. Its also important that you have rocksolid project management skills to meet the daily demands of the role. Responsibilities
- Design new engineering products and processes
- Craft models and drawings of products using CAD
- Analyze prototype data and retest if needed
- Research new product ideas and methods
- Improve existing products and processes
- Ensure compliance with the industrys safety standards
- Maintain accurate records
- Ensure products are user and environmentfriendly
- Write detailed reports
- Find creative design solutions to problems
- Present prototypes and designs to customers and project managers
Requirements
- BSc/BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5years ofexperience in the geometric design of roads and highways
- Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA
