The candidate can work from a business center in greater Montreal or Quebec City.

The candidate can work from a business center located in Greater Montreal or Quebec City. The position is based in the Montreal area with travel to business centers in Greater Montreal. For a candidate based in Quebec City monthly travel to Greater Montreal is required.

POSITION OVERVIEW

You will work in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Centers to determine the marketing approach for Advisory Services to portfolio clients. You will provide the necessary support to build the autonomy of account managers in identifying client needs then represent and position BDC Advisory Services in the market and close sales.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Provide sales support to business development teams. This includes developing and maintaining close relationships with business center managers to contribute to the autonomy of their teams. Sales support activities include organizing training activities participating in team and individual meetings collaborating on client call preparations participating in client calls as an expert presenting at client events or conferences etc.

  • Act as a resource person for BDC Advisory Services to help financing teams meet client needs and manage the client experience including handling complaints.

  • Contribute to the development of Advisory Services reputation by promoting the offer to the internal network and at various events or on social media.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelors degree in commerce business administration or a related field. An MBA or any other professional designation is an asset.

  • 5 years of experience in business development advisory services or any equivalent relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated success in supporting businesses.

  • Proven understanding of the business environment and the ecosystem surrounding SMEs with the ability to identify business needs and relevant solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills relationship development and ability to facilitate content in front of an audience participate in outreach promotion and business development activities.

  • Excellent coaching skills.

  • Team spirit and collaboration.

  • Bilingualism: French and English.
