Corporate Development Director II
Location: Alternate locations may be considered. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our PulsePoint locations.Anticipated national travel up to 75 to worksite and other locations as necessary.
The Corporate Development Director II is responsible for managing assigned new growth opportunities to complement core businesses. Identifies and develops new business ventures independently around key investment themes and strategies.
How you will make an impact:
Establishes key investment themes and strategies.
Identifies and develops new growth opportunities independently around key clients and Carelon strategies.
Has existing relationships and will build strong relationships with Senior health plan Executives
Collaborates with external partners to develop new business.
Conducts valuation analysis across all Carelon solutions to recommend highest growth opportunities for advancement.
Independently develops sales presentations and assists in initial high level opportunity analysis for growth opportunities.
Manages identified opportunities and drives them forward with BU sales leads and other business partners.
Understands the issues specific to each client and applies knowledge insight and experience into strategic recommendations and understands the business processes and products that the Carelon solutions support.
Partners with Carelon BUs functional leaders to ensure superior growth pitch development and successful sales presentations.
Contributes to deal structuring negotiations and creative solutioning for growth opportunities.
Participates in developing product and sales support messaging and materials and leads the overall client growth planning strategy.
Addresses highly complex analytic issues and independently manages transaction participants including internal business unit corporate shared services staff and external advisors.
Mentors junior Corporate Development staff.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills Capabilities and Experience:
Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and finance theory strongly preferred.
Leadership experience working in the managed care/healthcare insurance industry strongly preferred.
Exceptional strategic thinking decisionmaking problemsolving skills and adaptability highly preferred.
Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decisionmaking preferred.
Experience and knowledge of data analytics project process improvement and change management experience (strategic and strongly preferred.
Excellent written oral presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties strongly preferred.
Proficient of Microsoft Office products Excel Teams Outlook PowerPoint and Word strongly preferred.
