Job Description

SKILLS

  • 3 Years of Dermatology Experience
  • Phlebotomy
  • Medication Administration
  • Use of Electronic Medical Record
  • Knowledge of minor surgical procedures and equipment
  • CPR Certification for Healthcare Professionals

EXPERIENCE

  • Required A minimum of one year triage experience in medical office setting or hospital.
  • Preferred Family medicine primary care or pediatric experience preferred.

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

LICENSURE CERTIFICATIONS or REGISTRATION

  • Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

SUMMARY

Licensed practical nurse is the designation given to an individual who is a graduate of an approved practical nursing program and who is currently licensed as a practical nurse pursuant to M.G.L. c 112. The licensed practical nurse functions within the framework specified by the nursing statutes and regulations of the Commonwealth.

Provides professional medical assessment advice within the LPN scope of the practice for patients calling the medical office via telephone. Performs administrative and other tasks as necessary to accomplish and support such care and treatment.
