Responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy primarily to hospitalized patients as an engaged member of the multidisciplinary team. Participates in developing medical nutrition therapy protocols and nutrition education materials. Precepts interns and serves as a resource for medical staff and allied health professionals. Actively participates in inter and intradepartmental activities meets relevant regulatory requirements provides quality outcomes and maintains professional competencies.
Bachelors degree in nutrition or related field. Completion of an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited internship or approved training program. Minimum of
one year of clinical dietetics experience. Masters degree in nutrition or related field and/or certification in subspecialty field is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
License or Certification:
Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist). Certified Dietitian in the State of Wisconsin (must meet requirement within 2 months of hire).
