Warehouse Driver Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic experienced individual to join our team as a
Warehouse/Driver Assistant. As part of our warehouse and delivery team you will
use pallet jacks and forklifts to load and unload delivery vehicles and drive
vehicles to various locations. You will observe safe workplace rules and
guidelines when unloading and transporting cargo. This is a physically
demanding position meaning our ideal candidate is able to lift and move heavy
containers a valid commercial drivers license (CDL) forklift operators
certification and experience with warehouse inventory management.
Warehouse Driver Duties and Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks and other vehicles
Use forklift to move pallets and other large items from warehouse to trucks
Keep accurate records of items shipped and received
Safely drive trucks to pickup and delivery locations
Load and unload goods with appropriate equipment or by hand
Assist in preparing and stocking shelves for market service
Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Perform light housekeeping and custodial duties as required.
Warehouse Driver Requirements and Qualifications
Experience loading and unloading in a warehouse environment
Forklift certification and experience is desir
Clean Driving record (CDL is a plus)
Physical ability to lift and move heavy items throughout the a normal shift
Experience with warehouse inventory management
Ability to work productively with volunteers
