Our National Security Team supports the intelligence community providing operating and assuring critical voice video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations.
AT&T has an opening for an COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO): To support the Intelligence Sector.
This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
The job duties of the COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) are as follows: CROs are responsible and accountable for all COMSEC material issued to their subaccount and ensure they their alternates and users fully comply with all applicable provisions identified in provided guidance & policies.
- Coordinates/routes all requests for the transfer/disposition of COMSEC material through the program leads.
- Creates & maintains a COMSEC file plan IAW specified retention instructions and an unclassified material delivery point.
Ensures:
- Cryptographic equipment is keyed in accordance with the supporting keys effective date either loading new key upon supersession of the old key or upon inadvertent equipment zeroization. Top Secret keys are received handled controlled stored & destroyed utilizing TwoPersonIntegrity procedures. Two COMSECbriefed individuals destroy COMSEC material as required.
- Establishes a comprehensive reoccurring training program for their COMSEC users.
- Prepares a written emergency plan and ensures all COMSEC briefed personnel are trained on their duties & responsibilities within the plan.
- Processes all transfer destruction & semiannual or change of CRO inventory paperwork in a timely manner; returns paperwork to the program office.
- Publishes a list of people authorized access to the subaccounts COMSEC material.
- Reports known or suspected COMSEC incidents including deviations from COMSEC constraints document to the program office immediately; & ensures COMSEC briefed personnel are aware of proper COMSEC incident reporting procedures.
- Requests additional COMSEC material or relocation of existing material from the program office.
- Returns excess material and all ancillary material (i.e. racks cables power supplies etc. to the COR within 15 business days after removal from operations or after identification of item as excess.
- Supports detachment operations and maintenance personnel as necessary on new installs circuit outages and troubleshooting.
- The Primary CRO on the subaccount signs all reports unless not present for duty; in the absence of the Primary the Alternate CRO will sign reports.
- Validates in the form of a requirements letter the continuing need for all COMSEC material held locally & requests disposition instructions for any material not required to fulfill ongoing operational needs.

Required Qualifications: The candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. (NOTE: This equates to either a Doctorate and 3 years; Masters and 4 years; Bachelors and 6 years; or an Associates and 8 years; or HS and 10 years experience). Must meet minimum requirements for DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification; level 3 requirements are acceptable as well.
Level II certifications must be obtained within six 6 months:
- Certified Network Defender (CND).
- COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CYSA).
- COMPTIA Security.
- GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC).
- Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP).
- Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA).
- Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
- Required to become proficient on the Customers Assessment and Authorization tool to track and document the RMF steps.

Our COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) (IA Technical IAT Level II) (Government) earns between $79300 $140000 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
