Job Description
The Financial Analyst Styrene joins AmSty as part of the Styrene Business Finance team. The Analyst will provide financial analysis and operational reporting for the Styrene business will participate in the forecasting and planning processes including a deeper dive into key leading indicators driving performance and will engage in various process improvements aiming for favorable sustainable progress. In this role the Financial Analyst will directly support the Finance Manager Styrene.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze and communicate results for the Styrene P&L and operational sites/terminals
- Analyze asset development (i.e. product pricing and inventory levels at the sites) and identify performance opportunities
- Prepare monthly forecasts estimates and annual budgets
- Assist with driving opportunities for value creation cost optimization and process improvements
- Performs financial processes related to costing expense monitoring monthly close and reporting requirements
- Provide support to internal and external auditors for the business unit and site(s)
- Actively engaging with the commercial and operation teams
- Perform adhoc management reporting and analysis; assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance Economics Data Analytics. MBA or CPA a plus
- Min. 5 years of work experience in financial analysis accounting or general business
- Strong business and financial acumen with advanced critical thinking analytical and problemsolving skills
- Detailoriented and timeline driven with emphasis on accuracy and results
- Strong coordination communication (oral and written) facilitation and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work comfortably across all levels of employees and management with confidence and initiative
- Ability to work in fastpaced environment
- Selfstarter active participant on teams proactively reach out to team members to accomplish goals
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and SAP; with knowledge of digital automation tools
