PRN Nurse Cedar Lake Lodge
3 12 Hour shift requirement per month

Purpose:
To provide each resident with continuous professional healthcare services by administering treatments medication etc. as prescribed by the physician. To document doctors orders treatments and care given in an organized systematical manner. Initiate and follow preventative measurements to protect residents from undue injury illness or trauma with the goal of developing maintaining and improving the residents physical wellbeing which will enable them to reach the highest possible degree of wellness. To be a member of the team of the nursing staff/therapists and all CLL staff by effectively communicating verbally and in writing. To be knowledgeable of and apply current state and federal rules and regulations.
Please note that Cedar Lake Lodge Park Place and Sycamore Run are Intermediate Care Facilities placing us under the CMS Omnibus COVID19 Health Care Staff Vaccination Interim Rule. Under this rule employees must be vaccinated or have an approved medical or religious exemption prior to employment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Must be a graduate of a stateapproved school of nursing.
Must have a current Kentucky license to practice nursing.
Must have continuing education units up to date.
Current CPR and first aid training certification.
Valid Drivers License
Experience:
One year in the field of developmental disabilities preferred.
Two years nursing experience in a long term facility preferred.
Computer training.
Experience in the team approach to health care and IDT mechanics.
Requisites:
Proper body mechanics with the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a fastpaced stressful environment.
CPR and first aid abilities.
Must have a valid drivers license with a record acceptable to Cedar Lake Lodges insurance carrier.
Documentation skills and computer knowledge
Communication abilities with various staff doctors pharmacist and families of the residents
Attend inservices training sessions nursing meetings to update skills and knowledge base.
Knowledge base of the IDT approach to resident care.
