Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to oversee and add value to large construction projects in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will have a specialized focus on contractingtype work within the water sector with a strong background in water demand management water conservation and NonRevenue Water projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and of largescale construction projects with a focus on waterrelated infrastructure.
- Manage projects related to pressure and network zone management including the installation of reinforced concrete chambers bulk water meters pressure reducing valves and related infrastructure.
- Provide technical expertise in water demand management and water conservation ensuring projects align with best practices in these areas.
- Conduct feasibility studies prepare detailed proposals and compile reports.
- Manage contract documentation procurement processes and contract administration in line with SAICE GCC and FIDIC standards.
- Ensure project timelines budgets and deliverables are met maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with statutory procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Utilize advanced software tools including AutoCAD and Civil 3D to aid in the design and implementation of projects.
Qualifications:
- Valid South African Drivers License.
- South African citizen or valid permit to work in South Africa.
- Sc/B. Eng in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Registration with ECSA (advantageous but not compulsory).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar field.
- Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office Packages.
- Experience with WADISO will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in water demand management water conservation and NonRevenue Water projects.
- Experience in contract documentation and administration with SAICE GCC and FIDIC.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Ability to work independently and within a team ensuring integration with other engineering disciplines.
