Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for efficiently engaging in the design and selection of satellite subsystems by participating in the definition of requirements development of the architecture implementation of the design and verification the subsystems once built.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Cape Canaveral Florida.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to apply mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs.
- Contribute to the design development and testing of electrical equipment components or systems.
- As needed support avionics shop manager as the Engineering point of contact for the design and development of electrical control cabinet and cable harness manufacturing.
- Generate and maintain engineering and manufacturing documentation such as manufacturing routers drawings bills of materials etc.
- Support continuous improvement of manufacturing process using 5S principles including designing and running experiments at facilities collecting results and reporting them appropriately.
- Interact with vendors for supply issues.
- Adhere to all Quality Management Systems standards and procedures
- Treat all team members with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics or related STEM field. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
- Three 3 years experience working in a hightech manufacturing environment including working with highly integrated systems and interdisciplinary teams (e.g. electronics software optics mechanics etc.
- Selfstarter demonstrating initiative and independence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel Word Outlook and Teams.

- Experience with cable manufacturing soldering crimping electronic assembly etc....including knowledge of applicable aerospace industry standards and best practices preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with many different teams/individuals to reach a common goal by building mutual trust respect and cooperation maintaining positive and professional relationships and contributing to a culture of teamwork.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary Work occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to carry lift push pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves being stationary most of the time sometimes requiring moving about the work center on concrete surfaces.
- Computer Work daily use of laptop computer monitor screen keyboard and mouse sometimes utilizing a headset with microphone & speakers.
