Job Description
Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload goods and materials from trucks containers and other delivery vehicles. Ensure all items are handled properly to avoid damage.
Inventory Management: Verify and record the quantity and condition of items during loading and unloading. Report discrepancies or damages to the Shipping Supervisor.
Organization: Organize and stack products and materials in designated areas to facilitate easy access and prevent clutter.
Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs and records. Follow company procedures for documenting any discrepancies or issues.
Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and hand trucks as required. Ensure equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper lifting techniques.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of shipping and receiving tasks.
Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to ensure a safe and efficient operation
