You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Riverside County Information Technology Department (RCIT) is seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst II to support the Technical Services Bureau in Riverside.
The Business Systems Analyst II will work under the direction of the lead Technology Services Bureau BSA III and plays a key role in supporting the bureaus project portfolio. This position is responsible for managing a dashboard to track and oversee ongoing projects ensuring effective coordination and communication across various teams. The BSA II will collaborate closely with internal support teams including Systems Administrators Field Services staff Applications Support staff Help Desk personnel and Business Relationship Managers. Additionally the role involves regular interaction with stakeholders and supported departments within the County of Riverside to address system needs facilitate solutions and ensure successful project outcomes.
The ideal candidate for this role will be highly organized detailoriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. They will excel in following established methods for tracking and reporting project status ensuring accurate and timely updates. Strong project management skills are essential including the ability to develop key project documents such as Project Charters Statements of Work (SOW) Risk/Issues/Assumptions/Dependencies registers and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) using industrystandard templates. The successful candidate will effectively manage project constraints by balancing time budget and resources demonstrating adaptability and sound decisionmaking to keep projects on track. Excellent communication and collaboration skills will enable them to engage with stakeholders address challenges and deliver successful project outcomes. Candidates with 3 5 years of IT Project Management experience and those with a bachelors degree in computer science computer information systems data processing information management or a related field to the assignment are highly preferred.
The IT Business Systems Analyst II is distinguished from the IT Business Systems Analyst I in that the latter is the entrylevel and receives initial training in the techniques and procedures essential to the duties performed. This class is further distinguished from the IT Business Systems Analyst III in that the latter requires incumbents to lead an IT staff perform the most complex assignments and use masterlevel technical and analytical skills. Advancement to the next level is obtained by competitive selection through an open recruitment.
Meet the Team!
Conduct systems analysis and design of business processes involving evaluation of current and proposed information and business process flow available and emerging technology hardware and software and cost/benefits.
Analyze projects; document new organizational processes; generate reports for management on new technology.
Manage a dashboard to oversee the portfolio of projects within the Technology Services Bureau under the leads guidance.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders including end users management staff and vendors. This involves addressing project issues and providing regular status updates.
Follow the established method for tracking and reporting the status of all projects.
Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Develop essential project documents such as: Project Charter Statement of Work (SOW) Risk/Issues/Assumptions/Dependencies register Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and other projectrelated artifacts based on industry standard established templates
Manage project constraints including time budget and resources.
Engage stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
Facilitate crossfunctional coordination and communication across different teams and departments effectively.
Schedule time and resources effectively.
Develop and maintaining project schedules.
Solicit task status updates from project resources.
Adhere to established Project Management (PM) standards and practices.
Coordinate resources efficiently between multiple projects.

PreEmployment
