What you will be doing:

As a Leader in Tangerine Technology you will be in a highimpact role leading a group of technology professionals responsible for the technical delivery of our industryleading digital banking experience. We are looking to fill our team with influencers forwardthinking individuals who embrace change are passionate about their profession are flexible curious continuous learners and want to achieve challenging goals and have a longlasting impact on our Clients and the Bank.

You are a handson leader with a startup mindset and great technical skills applying creativity and passion for exploring opportunities to elevate both our technical platform and delivery practices to levels that the industry will want to mimic while delivering to our current commitments. You will provide leadership and technical guidance to a team of software engineers to enable the effective delivery of solutions spanning mobile and web applications integrations backend services and APIs in alignment with the Enterprise Technology Roadmap. You will be working with other Engineering leaders and stakeholders on applying the engineering OKRs to optimize strategic Engineering KPIs.You will leverage your natural leadership skills taking responsibility for ensuring that software is delivered on time on budget and in a way that meets the business expectations.

• On any given day you want to champion and look for avenues to refine further and evolve our engineering culture so we can keep moving learning and creating the most value the fastest with the least amount of effort
• You relentlessly pursue avenues to address issues proactively through ongoing refinement of the technical delivery model while actively using your ability to foresee potential problems and directionally guide the team even when presented with only highlevel symptoms
• When the need arises if you want to roll up your sleeves to get into the technical weeds you will examine existing designs and propose modern meaningful and costeffective solutions and you will whiteboard solutions and debate them with senior developers architects and business stakeholders
• The role requires significant interaction with senior business and technology leadership. Consequently effective communications commensurate with the audience and the ability to promote an idea and gain consensus are critical
• You can take a vision statement or highlevel problem and work with your team and various stakeholders to execute it successfully

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role Wed love to work with you if you have:

• 10 years of software development experience with clear progression through the ranks and 3 years leading and building highperformance teams
• 5 years experience with backend technologies like Java Spring Boot and SQLProven track record of delivering largescale complex software projects in an agile manner with a deep understanding of core agile concepts and practices
• Significant handson experience with multiple programming languages and SOLID principles experience with a wide spectrum of technologies with emphasis on low latency scalable faulttolerant platforms/applications with 247 Availability
• Experience with modernizing initiatives cloud and microservices architecture background
• Familiar with frontend technologies such as Angular 2 JavaScript HTML and CSS
• Familiar with opensource DevOps tools (Bitbucket/GIT Jenkins Artifactory Gradle Docker)
• Ability to lead software development teams on tight deadlines balancing shortterm goals with longterm vision in a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders with an open mindset
• Deep passion for software engineering and innovation coupled with a positive attitude thirst for knowledge teamoriented pragmatic and willingness to fail
• You are eager to mentor teach share and learn.
• STEM education preferably Computer Science Programming Engineering or a related field
