The Mechatronics Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies MMLs expertise light the path to innovation safety and styling.
Interprets and initiates various elements of the Magna Mirrors quality system. Performs product testing and audits products and processes to ensure system compliance with customer requirements/specifications. Leads inhouse and/or onsite customer product sorts and reinspections to resolve quality issues which may require lifting of 40 lbs. or more. Issues maintains and implements activities corrective/preventative action. Provides input on quality problems and recommends process changes if necessary. Assists in and/or leads customer driven root cause analysis processes (i.e. DCAR & 8D). Visually inspects customer part returns and determines disposition on any nonconforming product. Performs fixture reliability/repeatability analysis to test accuracy of measurement. Performs other duties as necessary including providing product launch support to Quality Engineers. Properly handles and disposes of any hazardous waste material. May set visual standards analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) data and initiate changes in control plans IPICS charts. May represent operations quality when conveying information to customers and establishing control limits. May develop/analyzes product testing procedures and set up testing. Performs quality systems audits in support of Company and Customer standards
