Electrical Test Engineer

Location: 

Gaydon (Hybrid Fulltime)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute highvoltage electrical/electronics testing for automotive powertrain components batteries inverters and charging systems.
• Perform insulation resistance HiPot (dielectric withstand) partial discharge and EMC testing to ensure compliance with automotive and safety standards.
• Support test planning setup and in hardwareintheloop (HIL) dynamometer and environmental test labs.
• Analyse test results diagnose issues and work closely with design and validation teams to improve electrical performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) LV123 IEC 60664 and automotive OEM standards.
• Provide technical reports and recommendations to enhance highvoltage system robustness and efficiency.

Qualifications :

Experience skills and qualifications required: 

• Degree in Electrical Electronics or Automotive Engineering.
• Experience with highvoltage electrical systems 400V800V) in EV/Hybrid vehicles battery technology or power electronics.
• Knowledge of automotive testing standards (ISO 21498 LV123 LV148 UN ECE R100 or IEC 61851.
• Handson experience with oscilloscopes power analysers insulation testers and HV safety protocols.
• Familiarity with MATLAB Simulink CANalyzer CANoe and Python for data analysis and test automation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Functional Safety (ISO 26262 and EMC compliance.
