Program Summary
KBR is looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team within the Defense Systems Engineering organization supporting the sustainment engineering efforts of the Air Force and other DoD customers across multiple programs. We provide engineering expertise in reverse engineering prototyping analysis and other aspects of digital material management allowing our customers to keep legacy systems in operation during the later stages of their lifespans.
Job Summary
This position will have split responsibilities and tasks. Approximately 50 percent will be Engineering Technician Tasks and 50 percent Quality and Safety Administrative Tasks. A majority of the time the employees location will be on Tinker Air Force Base with some tasks required to be at the offsite location at Liberty Parkway in actions that maintain our quality certifications and safety requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
Quality and Safety Administrative Tasks
Complete Internal AS9100D Audits.
Review Internal Quality and Customer Deliverable Documents.
Monitor Hazardous Material MSDS compliance and Shelf life.
Monitor Monthly Action Item completion for Business Unit.
Perform Monthly Safety checks on various items.
Initiate NonConformance Reports.
Monitor compliance to Customer Performance Work Statement.
Verify Toolbox/FOD compliance.
Perform Station Lockdowns.
Make Customer Deliverable CDs.
Calibrate Measuring Equipment.
Monitor Training completion and records.
Design and modify Adobe PDF Forms.
Prepare data/graphs for Management Review Meetings.
Assign Quality Assurance Codes to Purchase Requisitions.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS degree in a related discipline with no experience. In lieu of formal education at least 8 years of progressive experience in a related field.
An applicant with relevant experience is preferred but not required. All training is provided on the job in a similar type of environment performing similar duties.
Work experience taken into consideration will include Electronics Mechanical Test or Field IT help desk support and soldering with IPC certification.
Experience in Quality and Safety related areas is a plus.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Successful applicants show they can work and contribute to a team environment be a selfstarter and work independently with limited instruction while meeting critical demands.
The successful applicant must have excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills and can work in a fastpaced environment with attention to detail.
In addition experience in working with Microsoft Office software such as Word Outlook Excel and PowerPoint is expected.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful applicant will have process audit experience
