Finxact offers scalability with adaptiveness to change harnessing the clouds resiliency and elasticity to design and launch new products with agility and precision without technology upheaval.As a Senior PostgreSQL Developer you will specialize in managing and executing migration projects ensuring the seamless transfer of database systems and applications. This role is pivotal in maintaining data integrity and security throughout the migration process contributing to our mission of delivering innovative financial services solutions.
What you will do:
- Lead and oversee migration projects; collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope objectives and requirements.
- Analyze existing software systems and applications to identify migration requirements and potential challenges.
- Develop migration plans and strategies outlining timelines resources and necessary tools and technologies.
- Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to implement migration plans ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Ensure data integrity and security during the migration process implementing necessary safeguards and controls.
- Conduct thorough testing and verification of migrated systems; resolve any issues or errors that may arise.
- Document and maintain accurate records of migration processes and procedures; ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to endusers and stakeholders during and after the migration process.
What you will need to have:
- 5 years of experience with relational database administration.
- 5 years of experience with databases and data migration techniques.
- 5 years of experience operating Postgres in a Cloud environment PostgreSQL database architecture concepts features and highavailability technologies.
- 5 years of experience administering universally available PostgreSQL databases RDBMS principles database design and normalization.
- 5 years of experience in query optimization indexing knowledge modeling basics materialized views and partitioning.
- 5 years of experience with PL/PgSQL triggers and stored procedure development and optimization in PostgreSQL.
- Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of education work and/or military experience.
What would be great to have:
- Experience with Golang.
- Experience with RDBMS in the cloud.
- Initiativetaking approach to identify and resolve issues.
- Experience in prioritization and management of multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Experience with performance and load testing databases.
