Substitute Teacher
Calling Lake School
Northland School Division is seeking Substitute Teachers at Calling Lake School for theschool year. The kindergarten to grade 12 school is located in Calling Lake Alberta. This beautiful charming community is situated on the eastern shore of Calling Lake known for its tranquility and recreational pleasures. Calling Lake is approximately 60 kilometres away from Athabasca Alberta and approximately 200 kilometres from Edmonton Alberta. Major Responsibilities include:
- Following the prescribed program of studies for each subject taught.
- Plan and execute daily lessons based on short medium and long range planning.
- Provide feedback to students and parents in a regular timely manner.
- Champion Cree language/culture revitalization and curriculum infusion.
- Support schoolparentcommunity engagement.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and commit to collaborativedecision making.
- Promote differentiated instruction to meet diversity in learning needs.
- Must hold or qualify for Alberta teaching certification and a Teaching Quality Standard certificate.
- Must hold a Bachelor of Education (BEd. degree.
- Successful years of teaching experience in rural and/or Indigenous communities.
