Job Description
Direct Medics Healthcare Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and skilledBand 6 Speech & Language Therapist to join the Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy team based in the St. Helens area. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist to provide assessment & appropriate interventions in the management of paediatric conditions offering a range of 1:1 & group based interventions training and programmes of care.
Contract will be for maternity cover possible duration of 23 months initially. Both full and part time hours will be considered for the post MondayFriday 9am5pm). Salary from 37338a year per annum pro rata.
In this role you will:
Undertake clinical assessment in a variety of clinical settings to support children and young people 0 18 years in the borough of St Helens.
Demonstrate flexibility to respond to the needs of the service and be responsible for a designated area of work.
Maintain a early years and school aged caseload; providing professional clinical advice and demonstrate intervention approaches and activities to patients carers and colleagues within education.
Requirements
- Accredited Speech and Language Therapy qualification (BSc)
- Registration with relevant Registering Body e.g. HCPC
- Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist (RCSLT)
- Experience of working in mainstream schools and specialist provisions
- Knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication and dysphagia
- Full Valid UK Drivers License and access to own Car
- Right to Work in the UK
