Tessera is seeking a focused and helpful Grounds Maintenance Worker with a cando attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Shall perform mowing trimming edging and brush control.
• Shall pick up and remove all rubbish debris and trash (which includes but is not limited to; rocks paper pine cones limbs and other portable objects) within the maintenance area and all trash papers and limbs lodged in shrubs hedges fences and along foundation walls.
• Shall load large wheel barrels with debris.
• Shall perform basic maintenance of grounds equipment.
• May operate a tractor and/or mower eaters chain saws and brush cutters.
• Reading and understanding contract requirements and maps.
• Utilize company phones and respond to phone calls promptly.
• Demonstrate ability to multitask throughout work day with constant interruptions.
• Includes spending large portions of each day operating a trimmer.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 6 months of experience in grounds maintenance or prior labor experience is preferred but not required. Specialized vocational technical or other formal training may be substituted in part for experience.
• Work both independently and in a collaborative teamoriented environment.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a casebycase basis.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• May be required to reach kneel walk stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion reaching lifting kneeling and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time climbing in and out of a vehicle and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

• A valid state drivers license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tesseras insurance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and EVerify will be conducted for this position.
