Senior Safety Engineer
Role Context: For our Antwerp office we are looking for a Senior Safety Engineer
Youll be:
As a Senior Safety Engineer you are responsible for: General stewardship of design project or projects ensuring compliance with contract code and legislation on all HSE matters Specific.
- Carry out Simulations Studies prepare for & participate in and maintain an ongoing dialogue aimed at the accurate completion for HSE related deliverables: HAC SIL HAZOP HAZID ALARP Fire a Gas
- Prepare update and maintain HSE engineering specifications datasheets including sizing etc. for the project and corporate use: HSE philosophies Sustainability Fire prevention
- Read review against HSE engineering intent and provide direction to the designers for the production of HSE topics related drawings
- Be aware of legislation statutory requirements standards and codes of practice relevant to the HSE discipline: Vlarem CODEX ISO
- Prepare and manage procurement support for various items on the projects and to prepare project discipline workhours material quantity estimates and manage design changes
- Monitor and manage resources ensure Technical Integrity of the discipline work exhibit Business Acumen and decision quality
- Awareness of current tools for analysis visualization and design particularly computerbased tools and packages and competence in the use of a selection of these: PHApro Phast
Youll have:
- Job specific knowledge: Process Safety and /or Environmental engineering
- Industry specific experience: 5 year experience in Chemical/Petrochemical industry
- Education: Masters degree in science or (HSE) engineering
- IT skills: User of Microsoft Office Applications
- People skills: Team player
- Job specific skills: A minimum of 5 years safety and risk experience preferably 10 years
- Communication Skills: Sufficient knowledge of Dutch to understand and interpret local Belgian legislation and requirements
