Job Description
Under general supervision and according to established procedures; performs snow removal and maintaining grounds walkways and driveways.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs a variety of routine manual duties as required such as removing snow picks up grounds sweeps or shovels walks and parking areas; cleans drains and catch basins as required.
Shovels snow from walks parking lots roadways roofs and patios.
Some overtime may be required.
May be required to maintain OnCall status.
Performs other related assignments as requested.
Establishes and maintains courteous cooperative relations when interacting with patients visitors other staff members and the public.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Very heavy work must have the ability to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Employee will be subject to:
Outdoor weather conditions (up to and including extreme cold/wind/wet)
Slippery surfaces
