Job Description
RPO Recruitments client in the logistics industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an Export and Import Controller to join their team in Johannesburg Gauteng.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and logistics of moves
- Accurate timeous administration
- Maintain good relations with all parties involved in moves
Requirements:
- Minimum 13 years relevant export and some import clearing experience in coordinating freight logistics
- Support the Sales role by ensuring that all shipments are executed correctly
- Able to work independently and work within timelines
- Communication with Shipping Lines and Agents of the Company
- Costing of files once the shipment has been executed
- Have knowledge and a basic understanding of South African and International customs clearance laws procedures and regulations for freight forwarding an advantage
- Communicating with Operational Team
- High School diploma or equivalent in Transport and Logistics
- High level of communication and managerial skills written and verbal in English
- Ability to generate creative solutions due to a problemsolving approach
- Computer literate in particular Excel Word Outlook and at least one proprietary database
