Job Description
Camp Community College invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Academics and Student Success. Reporting to the President the Vice President serves as both the chief academic affairs and student services officer of the college. A strategic thought partner to the President and most senior member of the cabinet the Vice President will provide collegewide leadership and high quality and innovative programming that is responsive to the needs of students and the community. In their role the Vice President for Academics and Student Success will work collaboratively with deans directors coordinators and faculty and staff across two campuses and an instructional center and actively engage with external partners offcampus as well. The Vice President for Academics and Student Success has direct reports that include the Dean of Academic Programs Dean of Nursing and Allied Health Coordinator of Institutional Research and Assessment Coordinator of Library Services Smithfield Center Coordinators Dean of Student Services Director of the Student Support Services Program Director of Upward Bound Coordinator of Financial Aid and related areas. A highly visible collaborative personable and studentcentered leader focused on the specific needs of the cities of Franklin and Suffolk and the counties of Isle of Wight and Southampton the Vice President for Academics and Student Success must have excellent communication skills have the ability to innovate build partnerships and be an active participant in the ecosystem of services in the region that are focused on community building economic development and regional prosperity.
