Location: Hilton Head Island SC 29928
Job Description:
The Hilton Beachfront Resort and Spa is seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing Activities Attendant to join our team. The Activities Attendant will be responsible for organizing and leading a variety of recreational activities for guests of all ages. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a desire to create memorable experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and lead a variety of recreational activities for guests including but not limited to: beach volleyball pool games arts and crafts and fitness classes.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and professional manner.
- Assist guests with equipment rentals and provide instruction on proper use.
- Maintain a clean and organized activity area.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all guests.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
- Ensure beach towels are consistently stocked up and ready for guest use at the towel hut.
- Pick up towels from the beach and laundry bins on the pool deck and indoor pool and return to laundry for washing.
- Actively assist guests on the pool deck and upsell pool cabanas.
- Ensure pool charges are posted daily and signed by guests.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a customer service role
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
- Associates will receive a guaranteed tip percentage from the cabana sales.
- Positive feedback with name mentions of associates on surveys and social media will get an incentive as well.
