In this role you will work closely with critical crossfunctional teams to optimize sales at Raco to achieve significant growth goals.

Raco Steel Company which has been in business for over 70 years is a successful family owned steel processing and distribution company based in the South Suburban Chicago area. We maintain strong relationships with the United States leading steel mills and we supply a large diversified customer base of manufacturing companies across many industries with a wide variety of quality flatrolled steel products.

Who we seek:
As a member of our Steel Sales Team we seek someone with experience working with flatrolled steel products you will be responsible for growing our business by selling our valueadded steel products such as precisioncut steel blanks leveled sheets slit and master coils.

As an Inside Sales Rep you would be responsible for completing sales orders by prospecting for new clients identifying client needs and providing guidance about products needed by wholesalers and manufacturers in the steel industry.This is a resultsoriented role where you will be generously rewarded for your success managing your accounts and contributing to the companys growth from an individual and team perspective as we continue to achieve new milestones.

Our Inside Sales Rep should enjoy strengthening and cultivating professional relationships with our current and new customers. There will be strong financial incentives for achieving the companys growth targets.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for managing and expanding the companys existing accounts as well as consistently prospecting identifying and developing new business opportunities by putting the time and effort following up regularly over the phone with emails and visits.
  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner and actively focus on building strong professional relationships with our customers throughout the sales process.
  • Promptly react to inbound new sales leads and quote our products and services capabilities to existing and potential new customers on a timely basis.
  • Oversee and ensure successful fulfillment of orders working closely with finance production and logistics.
  • Interact directly with customers to provide regular status updates and fulfill service needs.
  • Understand customer needs/processes and coordinate with the timely shipping of our products and oversee the customer feedback process to improve customer service and satisfaction levels.
  • Responsible for managing customer claims in a prompt manner up to and including satisfactory resolution of their claims. Resolve objections in a favorable manner to close a sale and/or position Raco to receive new sales opportunities in the future.
What you need:
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • Selfmotivated highly organized and with ability to manage own time effectively and to work autonomously to achieve results.
  • Strong track record of developing longterm relationships.
  • Proficient in MS Excel Word etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Customer Relationship Management software (CRM).
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Steel Industry
  • Some travel up to 25
Compensation: $50000.00 $70000.00 per year plus potential discretionary yearend bonus of up to 20 based on companys profitability and your evaluated performance during year.
