Job Title: Automotive Engineer (Door Sealing and Brightware)

Job Summary: Lead the mechanical design development and validation of automotive door sealing systems (aperture seals primary/margin seals) and brightware components (cantrail waistrail) from concept to SOP. Ensure compliance with functional requirements cost weight and quality targets while driving innovation through clientaligned technology roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead mechanical design and development of door sealing and brightware systems (concept to SOP).
- Define system specifications test plans and validation protocols to meet project milestones.
- Collaborate crossfunctionally to ensure deliverables align with functional requirements.
- Develop technology roadmaps for door sealing/brightware systems integrating client insights and emerging technologies.
- Manage design resources suppliers and timelines to achieve system requirements.
- Monitor engineering timelines escalate critical issues and present technical updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to automotive industry standards for durability NVH performance and aesthetics.
Knowledge Skills and Experience: Education: - Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience: - 5 years in leading door sealing and brightware development (automotive OEM or Tier1 supplier).
- 10 years in endtoend automotive product development (minimum 2 full product cycles.
Technical Skills: - Expertise in door sealing materials (rubber thermoplastics) manufacturing processes (extrusion molding) and brightware design (metal finishing corrosion resistance).
- Proficient in CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and GD&T.
- Strong understanding of automotive product lifecycles and regulatory compliance (e.g. water ingress wind noise standards).
