Job Description
Title : Elect Cloud Developer 4
Location: 1100 Bank St Richmond VA 23219 761304
Client: The Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT)
Note: Its a remote position
Job Description:
- The Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is seeking an Senior Azure Developer with minimum 6 years experience to work with an existing software development team
- You will be working with our more established contractors and staff to focus on several web and Windows applications used both by internal ELECT staff and constituents of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- The candidate will need expertise as a programmer and designer for Cloud Services. Experience implementing and developing applications to interface with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and other offerings from the major Cloud Service Providers required. Responsible for analysis design and coding for a new application.
- An Individual must be able to work without assistance provide leadership for others and manage highly complex work efforts. Extensive industry experience is required with advanced education highly desire able.
- Will be involved in maintenance enhancement and development work. The candidate will need a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team.
- Works with the Business Analyst Application Architect and other Application Development Team members on an asneeded basis to ensure that design and code meets customer requirements. may also need to work with SaaS and Cloud service providers.
- Candidate will need to be comfortable working with C# .NET Framework & Core MVC & WebForms Web Services; SQL Git SCM and Javascript. Experience with Jira Azure DevOps and Application security will help you stand out in this position.
- ELECT uses mobile and responsive design practices so a familiarity with these methodologies would be a plus.
Required Skills and Experience:
- At least 6 years of documented Azure experience is required with strong ability to work without assistance on complex work efforts
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (Azure Functions Azure App Service Azure Kubernetes Service Azure DevOps etc.
- Proficiency in C# >NET Python Java or Node.js
- Experience with Terraform ARM Templates or Bicep for provisioning cloud resources
- Knowledge of DevOps CI/CD and GitHub actions
- Working knowledge of Azure Functions and Logic Apps
- Experience with Azure SQL Cosmos DB and storage solutions
- Understanding of identity management (Azure AD RBAC OAuth etc. networking security and compliance best practices
- Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and working with API management Required
- Experience with Azure Monitor Application Insights and Log Analytics
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
- Ability to work in Agile teams and communicate technical concepts effectively
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a DevOps culture
