Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and patientfocused Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dynamic dental practice in Wellington New Zealand. In this role you will play a vital part in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our patients while also providing chairside assistance to our dental professionals.
- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist dentists during dental procedures ensuring proper instrument handling and patient comfort
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate and organised patient records and documentation
- Schedule appointments manage patient inquiries and handle administrative tasks efficiently
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient care
- Promote a positive and supportive environment for patients and colleagues
The hours for this role are:
- Monday Friday: 7.45 am 5.15 pm
Qualifications :
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fastpaced environment
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience in dental assisting or reception (helpful but not required)
- A friendly enthusiastic and detailoriented approach to work
- Willingness to collaborate with the dental team and contribute to a positive work environment
