What Were Looking For:
A passionate individual who is looking to grow their horticulture knowledge through this exciting opportunity and the support of our senior Horticulturalists. You will provide horticultural support to the Yenda Group and clients based around the Griffith Hillston region of NSW.
In this role you will grow your citrus experience through:
Working alongside and supporting the senior horticulturists in all aspects of the role.
Identifying weeds pests and diseases in citrus crops.
Providing recommendations to the customer under the guidance of Senior Horticulturist(s) until deemed competent for the identified weeds pests and diseases.
Carrying out soil and tissue tests. Based on results then develop recommendations in consultation with Senior Horticulturist(s) until deemed competent.
Assisting in the development of crop budgets and water use strategies for customers.
Maintaining your continuous understanding of the most current product labels and permits.
Forecasting crop requirements for cropping seasons and reporting using company procedures.
Supporting preparation of farm plans for customers.
Participating in Yenda Group related industry and business meetings and reports learnings and findings to management as required.
Additionally you will be able to demonstrate your achievement / maintenance of the following:
Current Driver licence
Bachelor of Agricultural Science.
