Responsibilities:- Expedite duties according to purchase requisition. Set priorities.
- Get tools supplies and equipment for employees. Run and issue labels. Be familiar with the Bar Code System and the computerized label system. Track backup personnel to operate this equipment.
- Check the quality of work before the packing procedure. Keep efficiency records daily. Make sure there is sufficient work.
- Record the number of jobs packed daily number of cartons and pieces sent to the Shipping Department.
- Be familiar with the automatic taping equipment and train backup personnel for this equipment.
- Identify technical problems and recommend action to be taken.
- Train new employees and assist them during their training period. Instruct employees on company policies and procedures. Recommend hire promotions or terminations. Request and give warnings.
- Responsible for overall housekeeping within the Department. This includes any machinery or conveyor systems; keeping the work area clean and benches set up for the next shift.
Qualififcations:- One to three years experience in light to heavy manufacturing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual Spanish and English a plus.
Education and Experience:- High School Diploma/Equivalency
Environment:100 performed in plant facilities with extensive noise and machinery running. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; walk use hands and fingers to feel and handle reach with arms and hands talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently is required to stoop kneel and crouch lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 lbs.Position Reports to Foreperson Assembly and PackingAdditional:
