Job Description
DEM Elevating Equipment is looking for a dedicated Machine Operator to join our production team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with machinery ensuring precision in manufacturing and contributing to highquality production. Whether you have experience or are looking to train in this field we encourage you to apply!
Essential Functions:
- Set up and operate drill press machines to drill tap ream or countersink metal and other materials.
- Operate hydraulic punch machines to cut shape and punch metal parts.
- Interpret blueprints drawings and work orders to determine production requirements.
- Select and install appropriate tooling dies and fixtures based on job specifications.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and required tolerances.
- Use calipers gauges and other measuring tools for accuracy checks.
- Adjust machine settings including speed and feed rates for optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting on machines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Assist in other areas as needed to support production goals.
Position Qualifications:
- Knowledge of machines and tools including operation set up repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings.
- Understanding of raw materials production processes and quality control.
- Commitment to safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Strong mathematical and problemsolving skills.
- Good physical stamina with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Skills & Abilities
- Education: High School diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Experience is helpful but not required training will be provided!
- Computer Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus but not required.
